"EFFECTIVE MANAGER" IN MODERN SOCIETY

Abstract. The paper characterizes (reveals the meaning and specifici-ty) such a unique phenomenon of social consciousness and social practice as an "effective manager". A brief historical overview of the emergence and evolution of the concept of an effective manager and manager is provided. Their typology, on the bases of the characteristics of their functioning in the field of economics, politics, culture is explained. The paper provides critical analysis of features of their activities, as well as their working methods. Par-ticular attention is paid to the social impact of the activities of effective managers, leading to the fact that Russia has lost a lot as a result of their abuse of objective processes of social development, which caused the fact that the period of their greatest "prosperity" is called "slashing 90-ies".

CONCEPTUALIZATION OF SOCIOLOGICAL DIAGNOSIS: THEORETICAL REFLECTION

Abstract. The paper reflects the author's research position, that the sociological diagnosis is social diagnosis, including analytical and explana-tory constructs of sociological knowledge. The author proceeds from the fact that the achievement of a sociological diagnosis with a high degree of verifiability of the results is possible in the implementation of the following two conditions: firstly, the choice of method of diagnosis, including the im-plementation of appropriate sociological paradigm, aimed at the production of objective knowledge: secondly, the adoption of the formula of efficiency of achieved results.

OPINION OF CITIZENS OF REPUBLIC OF NORTH OSSETIA ON THEIR LIFE PLANS, VACATION, LEISURE AND HEALTH: A SOCIOLOGICAL ANALYSIS

Abstract. This article is written on the bases of the mass survey on the topic: "The opinion of the citizens of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania about their life plans, vacation, leisure time and health", held in April-May 2012 the North Ossetia Center for Social Research ISPR RAS together with the North-Ossetia State University. The sample size is 500 people.

CULTURAL IDENTITY AS A FACTOR STRENGTHENING THE INTEGRITY OF RUSSIA

Abstract. The article deals with cultural identity as a factor and the potential for strengthening the integrity of the Russian state. An analysis of a modern socio-cultural situation in Russia is provided: the foundations of the phenomenon of modern culture, its role in society are revealed: the main lines of research of contemporary culture as a factor in Russia's territorial integrity are discussed.

PHENOMENOLOGY OF DEVIANCE: CULTURAL AND HISTOR-ICAL MODIFICATIONS

Abstract. The article is devoted to the very topical subject of modern social sciences and the humanities and is associated with problems of de-viant behavior. The article concludes that the person is the subject, and cul-ture, and the consumer of cultural goods; that existing types of deviance re-lated to the problem of choice and responsibility in the culture and are clas-sified according to the criterion of the relationship to the core of culture and the nature of cultural change.

THE RUSSIAN ORTHODOX PARISHES ABROAD: THE MAIN TENDENCIES OF DEVELOPMENT IN THE CONDITIONS OF PO-LYCULTURAL SOCIETY

Abstract. In article are presented the main results of case study which was carried out in the Russian Orthodox parishes of Germany and the USA. The description of the main functions of orthodox parishes abroad, their specifics of realization in conditions ino/polyconfessional society is given. The author of article describes features of environment in which orthodox parishes work, and gives the analysis of had impact of environment on pari-shional life, features of behavior of parishioners, allocates the main prob-lems of parishes abroad. Draws a conclusion about specifics of changes in a situation of adaptation of orthodox parishes to environment and about fea-tures of preservation of orthodox tradition in the conditions of an ino/polikonfessionalnost.

SYMBOLIC AGGRESSION IN INTERETHNIC COMMUNICA-TION: THE ELEMENTS OF A METHODOLOGICAL CONSTRUCT OF RESEARCH

Abstract. The article presents a systematic semantic analysis of the concept of aggression, theoretical approaches to the study of aggression and the forms of aggression are analyzed. On this basis the authors substantiate the concept of symbolic aggression in interethnic communication. A theo-retical perspective (phenomenological sociology, social interactionism, eth-nic-methodology) and the research strategy in the analysis of this phenome-non (search and explanation of the routine "gaps", connected with differ-ences in group identity, conventional behavioral codes caused by etnoinsti-tutional reproduction) are suggested, as well as a number of empirical indi-cators. This article was prepared as part of a project supported by the Coun-cil for Grants of the President of the Russian Federation (№ MK-1154.2014.6).

THE CONCEPT OF INFORMATION IN THE CONTEXT OF HUMANITIES AND THE THEORY OF COMMUNICATION

Abstract. «The notion of «information» – interpretation of humanita-rian science and commutative» offers a new approach to the concept of «in-formation» in the field of Humanities and social studies and journalism. Philosophical definition says: the information or knowledge is a reflection of the perceived by someone. The new definition defines the use of the con-cept in human-environment: information is a formal product of the trans-formation of the registered signals in known concepts. In the field of social information is learned by someone knowledgeable. It has been proved that the information is subjective, not an objective phenomenon. An illustration of empirical situations of accurate and inaccurate perceptions about the na-ture of the information in the journalistic practice.

INFORMATION CONTROL IN RUSSIA AND IN THE WORLD: THE REAL BASIS AND PRACTICE.

Abstract. The article considers the real basis of the universal informa-tion control within the conditions of information space globalization. Its ГУМАНИТАРИЙ ЮГА РОССИИ 214 subjects are transnational corporations, which monopolize the information technology market. Total information control and electronic means of its implementation has enabled these corporations to "hack" the national tele-communication systems to meet their interests. In Russia, the expansion of commercial regulation of information communication is accompanied by strengthening of the state information control, though the new format of the content and transmission of information allow the information control to be developed "from masses".

Abstract. In the article shows the evolution of protest activity in the Rostov region in the years 2007-2013. Spotted motivation and potential pro-test activity in Rostov-on-Don and rural areas reflected in the media. Consi-dered the factors that determine the mood of protest in the region.

STATE AND PROBLEMS OF THE DON COSSACKS

Abstract. The article was prepared with support of the Council on grants of the President of the Russian Federation (project № MK-3233.2013.6). On the basis of results of sociological researches the author analyzes social problems faced by the Cossacks, its relations with state in-stitutions and regional authorities. There is an attempt in the article to assess the socio-economic well-being of the Cossack population and to identify common problems of Cossacks, taken in the context of public policy. In ad-dition, the author analyzes the overall Cossacks assessment of the role of the Cossacks in their personal lives. In conclusion some recommendations are proposed for state policy in respect of the Cossacks.
