Аннотация

The monograph is based on materials of three research projects which were carried out last years by Department of education sociology of Institute of sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (the head – Konstantinovsky D. L) and in which the author took part: the longitudinal researches during ten years (1998-2008) of a cohorts of youth – graduates of higher schools, secondary special educational institutions and professional colleges of the Novosibirsk region; the quantitative research of life ways of young workers of the industrial enterprises of 13 regions of Russia (2009); the qualitative research of the youth studied abroad (2007) The results of those parts of the given research projects which were developed by the author are presented in the book. On the database of the state statistics there have been considered the interactions and interrelations of various subsystems of a society – education systems, demographic processes, a labor market – with an estimation of their influence on educational and professional trajectories of youth.

The educational trajectories and professional careers of youth are analyzed in their unbreakable combination, developing under the influence both external factors of different level, and the characteristics of separate groups of youth differing with education and professional status of parents, a residence urbanization level, own social status (belonging to graduates of different secondary educational institutions, to young workers, to those who got education abroad, a level of subsequent professional education and additional studying The main analytical method was to be the revealing of relation between formation, accumulation and perfection of human capital and building of professional ways of youth, :occupying of professional positions and career achievements. The found out interrelations have allowed reveal the definite types of professional careers, to characterize the specifics of educational and professional trajectories of “natives” of different social groups. The analysis of factors, ways and forms of accumulation of human capital by different groups of youth, studying of self-estimations of the reached position by youth have allowed consider the actualizing contradictions and conflicts on this basis.
