Аннотация

В обзоре, состоящем из трех тематических блоков, представлена интерпретация основных тенденций эволюции современных научных и философских дискуссий по общим проблемам образования и образовательной политики, которые в последние два десятилетия с неослабевающей интенсивностью ведутся в западной аналитической литературе. Приоритет отдается анализу современных теорий образования и их взаимосвязи с античной традицией, по-прежнему оказывающей воздействие на современные концепции демократии и гражданства. Выявляются различные, нередко диаметрально противоположные, подходы ученых к анализу феномена глобализации и причин кризиса традиционных демократических институтов и систем образования. Критически оценивается значение многообразных исследований, в которых отчетливо фиксируется стремление ученых к возрождению и реинтерпретации как классической философии образования XVIII-XIX вв., так и наследия крупнейших теоретиков образования ХХ в.
