SUMMARY

TATAROVA G.G. «Methodology of Empirical Sociology: Ambivalence of Developmental Factors»: The article considers the factors of empirical sociological methodology development. There is marked out negative and positive aspects of the set of the factors in the sense of their consequences for sociological community. Several new factors of methodological thinking development related to the principals of methodological ideas integration and concerning sociological data analysis are presented.

BABICH N.S. «Content Analysis of Typological Method Popularity in Western Sociology»: The article describes four directions in development of typological method in the Western sociology: ideal types, constructive types, typological operations and cluster analysis. Results of cluster analysis of their popularity are presented.

KRUPENKOVA N.V. «Sociological Measurement: Latent Variable Models Emergence (Part II)»: The emergence of the main types of latent variable models is examined in the paper. Problems and special tasks of social measurement are considered as a context of models emergence history. Ideas of form and character of latent and observe variables relation as realized in the models are considered. The second part of the article discusses models of multidimensional scaling, causal analysis and path analysis and concerns the question of interplay between sociological theory and methodology of empirical research.

SHCHERBINA V.V. «Populational Selection Model of Organizational Development (Part II)»: The article is devoted to the contemporary sociological theoretical model explaining the substance, content and machinery of the organizational development process. The model under consideration is named as populational selection model and treated as a version of the approach known in organizational theory as organizational ecology. The present part of the article analyses results of empirical researches on the lines and mechanisms of organizational development. It is noted the importance of the model for organizational theory and for sociological theory on the whole.

VORONIN G.L. «The Factors of Personal Financial Success (the example of secondary analysis)»: The article presents the technique for discovering the factors which influences on the financial position. The technique is founded on the methods of regression analysis, probit analysis and neural networks. The article presents the application of the technique to the case of secondary conceptualization of Russia Longitudinal Monitoring Survey data.

GABYSHEVA L.K. «Some concepts of network modeling»: The article considers network models built on the network presentation in the form of graphs such as a cluster model, degrees of tops distribution model. It is shown how some real social networks may be presented in the form of complex network models. The ways of specific coefficients calculation are presented.

OSTROVSKY A.M. «On Computer Technologies of Empirical Regularities Searching in Databases»:

The contemporary data mining technologies are considered through a prism of sociological data analysis practice. These technologies have shown their efficiency for empirical regularities searching. The methodological problems of application of data mining computer tools are outlined. Data mining cognitive potential is examined.

SAGANENKO G.I., VORONTSOVA O.A. «How does the Youth Perceive the Country of the USSR Period»: The paper presents the study of young people attitudes towards the USSR. As special tools the study includes the open questions of different form which have enabled the respondents to show their memory focuses, to manifest the collisions and facts of the country history that are meaningful for them. Positive and negative associations were marked out and it was made the estimation of the youth historical memory on the base of three student groups’ data. The results of the study demonstrate that the soviet history is not perceived as a history of the country but as a subject (discipline) or as an ideology; and in the historical picture of the country only selected few historical facts were marked as meaningful.

SHTEYNBERG I.Ye. «Prophylactics of “burn-out” syndrome in sociological field work»: The article is dedicated to the problem of the impact of the field on a sociologist. The phenomenon of emotional exhaustion of a sociologist in process of using deep interviewing method is considered. This phenomenon is widely known as «burn-out syndrome». The «burn-out syndrome» is accounted for the professional crisis concerned with the specifics of job not for personal inclination to depressions or chronic weariness. Social psychological mechanism of «burn-out» phenomenon is analyzed. Based on the experience of different sociological projects the practical recommendations for prophylactic of emotional exhaustion are done.
